The Manton River is a river in the northwest of the Australian Territory of Northern Territory .

geography

River course

It rises halfway between the small towns of Noonamah and Adelaide River , east of the Stuart Highway and flows north along the highway. Further north it is connected by an approx. 5 km long canal to the Manton reservoir west of the Stuart Highway in the recreation area of ​​the same name. At Acacia Gap it breaks through a low range of hills to the east, takes its only tributary, the Acacia Creek , and flows into the Adelaide River .
