Manuel Ammann

Manuel Ammann (* 1970 ) is a Swiss economist and professor of finance at the University of St. Gallen .

Life

Manuel Ammann studied computer science at Simon Fraser University in Canada and received his doctorate in economics from the University of St. Gallen in 1998 . He was then a postdoctoral fellow at the Stern School of Business at New York University , a lecturer at the University of St. Gallen and an assistant professor at the University of California, Berkeley . Since 2003 he has held the Chair of Finance at the University of St. Gallen and is in charge of the Master in Banking and Finance (MBF), one of the world's most renowned Master's programs in Finance and the leading one in the German-speaking region. He is director at the Swiss Institute for Banking and Finance and a member of the administrative board of St. Galler Kantonalbank.

Manuel Ammann was editor of the journal Financial Markets and Portfolio Management and from 2015 to 2019 Dean of the School of Finance at the University of St. Gallen.
