Manuel Antonio Mejía Dalmau (born June 19, 1947 ) is an Ecuadorian computer scientist who has been ambassador to Berlin since March 8, 2018 .

education

He graduated from Colegio La Salle Bonanova and studied at the Faculty of Administration at Central University Quito, then studied economics at the Pontifical Catholic University of Ecuador in Quito . He speaks German, English, Catalan, Italian, Portuguese and French.

Professional career

He taught information technology at the Universidad Técnica de Ambato and at the Pontifical Catholic University of Ecuador in Cuenca . For five years he managed the data center of IBM - Ecuador in Quito. For two years he headed the information technology department at Artepractico: Casa - Muebles - Jardín, a garden furniture manufacturer in Cuenca .

From 1976 the Hoechst subsidiary "Hoechst Eteco SA" manufactured pharmaceutical products north of Quito , where Mejía worked in the management for systems.

He spent eight years in the management of systems at Banco Popular del Ecuador . From 1995 to 2001 he was the managing director of the Foundation for Justice (CLD) in Quito. For two years he was deputy regional manager of Banco Pichincha in Guayaquil .
