Manuel De Landa (* 1952 in Mexico City ) is a Mexican writer, artist and philosopher.

Life

De Landa was appointed professor at Columbia University's Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation in New York. He also teaches at the Jesuit Canisius College in New York.

Manuel De Landa has lived in New York since 1975 .

His work is based on the theories of Gilles Deleuze and Félix Guattari . It's about the application of these theories to modern science, artificial intelligence and life, economics, architecture, chaos theory, nonlinear science and cellular automata. His basic research on morphogenesis - the emergence of semi-stable structures from the material flows - which define our natural and social world, aroused great interest in various disciplines and departments.
