The Canisius College in Buffalo , New York , United States of America , is a Jesuit school . It was founded by German Jesuits and was at the heart of German Catholic life. Even before the First World War was college transferred from the responsibility of the German Jesuit province to the US.

School philosophy

Canisius College lives and teaches in the tradition of the Jesuit order, striving to promote the holistic person and to bring together the spiritual, intellectual, emotional and physical life of the individual . Training facility for reserve officers

Canisius College houses a training facility for reserve officers ( battalion strength ) for the borough of West New York. This Reserve Officer Training Center (ROTC) is recruited from several colleges in New York State. The students can register as volunteers and, in addition to their studies, also receive instruction and training in the military. With the appointment as a cadet you have the opportunity to join the regular armed forces .
