Manuel Mota (fashion designer)

Manuel Mota Cerrillo (born July 8, 1966 in Reus , Tarragona province , Spain ; † January 8, 2013 in Sitges , Barcelona province ) was a fashion designer who last worked for the bridal fashion company Pronovias Fashion Group in Barcelona for 23 years .

Mota tried first began training in architecture . Due to his greater interest in fashion and textiles, he turned to fashion design and costume design. At the age of 20 he switched to the Institución Artística de Enseñanza (IADE) in Madrid . During this time he started designing wedding dresses for the Spanish bridal fashion company Pronovias and stayed there after completing his training. In May 2012 he presented a fashion design exhibition at the Museu Nacional d'Art de Catalunya in Barcelona .

As a fashion designer and costume designer, Mota designed clothes for the Australian model Miranda Kerr , the Israeli model Bar Refaeli and, in 2010, for the wedding for the Dutch supermodel Doutzen Kroes and for the Mexican singer, actress and model Alessandra Rosaldo . Mota died on January 8, 2013 in Sitges at the age of 46.
