Miranda May Kerr (born April 20, 1983 in Sydney , New South Wales ) is an Australian model . She became known as a model for the fashion brand Victoria's Secret .

biography

Miranda Kerr is the eldest child of Therese and John Kerr and has a brother named Matthew. She grew up in Gunnedah , a small town in New South Wales . After winning a modeling competition at the age of 13, she started modeling in 1997. Kerr attended All Hallows Catholic Girls High School in Brisbane .

In 2004, Kerr started her career with an advertising campaign by photographer Erick Seban-Meyer for Ober Jeans Paris . Pictures of her were shown in the fashion magazines Vogue and Elle . In 2006 she made her debut with Jessica Stam at the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show . After Gisele Bündchen was released from Victoria's Secret , Kerr was given her place as the new "angel". She is under contract with the modeling agency IMG . From 2008 to 2013 she was also the brand ambassador for the David Jones department store chain . Kerr ran at shows by Chanel, Balenciaga, Stella McCartney, Viktor & Rolf, Loewe, Dior, John Galliano, MiuMiu, Sonia Rykiel, Vionet and Michael Kors. She has graced the covers and editorials of Vogue, Elle, Harper's Bazaar, Marie Claire, GQ, iD Magazine, Numéro, V Magazine, W Magazine, Love Magazine, Allure. GHD, The Edit, Rolling Stone, Esquire, Purple Fashion Magazine, Madison Magazine, Jalouse Magazine, Russh Magazine, Lucky Magazine and Glamor. Kerr shot campaigns for Clinique, XOXO, Prada, Jil Sander, Rag & Bone, Bally, Mango, and Orchily. She is the brand ambassador for the Escada fragrance Joyful .

In June 2009 she posed naked, tied to a tree, for the Australian edition of Rolling Stone magazine to raise awareness of the impending extinction of koalas . In the same year she started her own brand KORA Organics.

The photographer Terry Richardson shot Kerr for the 2010 Pirelli calendar . In September she published her self-help book Treasure Yourself with the aim of giving young people confidence. The book was later translated into nine other languages.

In spring 2013, her contracts with David Jones and Victoria's Secret were not renewed because Kerr no longer wanted to be tied to a full-time contract because of her private life. Since October 2013 she has been the new face of Swarovski .

In February 2014 she became the face of H&M , replacing Gisele Bündchen . She also promoted Reebok and Escada Joyful in the same year . She released her first single with Bobby Fox in the form of a cover of Elvis Presley's You're The Boss . She later worked with the Royal Albert company and created her own tea cup collection. She starred in an episode of How I Met Your Mother for 4 seconds in 2007 (S3E10).

Private life

Kerr practices yoga and meditation , and also reads spiritual literature.

Since 2007 Miranda Kerr was in a relationship with the English actor Orlando Bloom and married to him since July 22, 2010. In January 2011, Kerr and Bloom's son Flynn Christopher Bloom was born. In 2013 the couple separated.

In July 2016, Kerr announced her engagement to Evan Spiegel . The wedding took place on May 27, 2017. They have two sons born in 2018 and 2019.
