Müller was initially an artistic gymnast in her youth and switched to freestyle ski jumping in 1998. She made her debut in the Freestyle World Cup on February 26, 2000, with 18th place in Piancavallo , where she won her first World Cup points. In the winter of 2001/02 Müller decided in the European Cup both the discipline and the overall ranking for himself. She achieved her first World Cup podium on January 13, 2002 in Mont-Tremblant . In the following season 2002/03 a 7th place was the best result, in the seasons 2003/04 and 2004/05 a 4th place respectively.
Müller had her most successful season in winter 2005/06. In Mont Gabriel and Deer Valley she was second, which resulted in third place in the Aerials discipline. At the 2006 Winter Olympics , she jumped to 7th place. She then had to undergo syndesmosis surgery to treat an old gymnastics injury. In the winter of 2006/07 she achieved another 2nd place in Mont Gabriel. Due to various injuries (torn ligament in the foot, torn cruciate ligament and cartilage damage in the knee), Müller missed the entire 2007/08 season. After the 2008/09 season, she announced her resignation from top-class sport for health reasons.
