Manuela Welzel-Breuer is a German physics teacher .

Life

Manuela Welzel-Breuer graduated in 1982 as a graduate teacher for physics / astronomy . After a few years of teaching experience in Neuhaus am Rennweg , he went on to study pedagogy and psychology in Berlin . From 1991 until her doctorate in 1994 she was a research assistant at the Institute for Didactics of Physics at the University of Bremen , then a research assistant. Since 1999 she has been working at the Heidelberg University of Education as a professor of physics and its didactics .

From 2005 to 2009 she held the position of board member "School" of the German Physical Society (DPG). In the European Science Education Research Association (ESERA) she was initially a board member from 2005 to 2011 and president from 2011 to 2015. She was also active on the boards of trustees of the House of Little Researchers , “World of Physics” and the Magnus House . Since 2015 she is co-editor of the book series "ESERA Science Education Research Series"
