Erwin Ringsgwandl (* 1962 in Ruhpolding ) is a German master locksmith and art blacksmith, composer, musician, photographer, theater technician and director from Bavaria.

Life

Erwin Ringsgwandl has been married to the theater worker Elfriede Ringsgwandl since 2002 , with whom he runs the theater tent in Riedering in the legal form of E. & E. Ringsgwandl GbR , where he is primarily responsible for the technology. According to his wife, the idea to found the private theater came from him. Daughter Jenny, who was seen on her parents' stage for the first time at the age of one and a half, had her first film role in Hans Steinbichler's feature film An Unheard of Woman (2016).

Ringsgwandl is a trained blacksmith and master locksmith. Among other things, in 2009 he replaced the graceful ridge lattice above the glockenspiel in Munich's town hall , the 100-meter-long original of which was destroyed in bombing raids in the Second World War, together with friends from master schoolmates Josef Forstmaier from Kalling and Alfons Piechatscheck from Prien am Chiemsee . In over a year of preparatory work, the trio processed ten tons of forged steel into over 2,500 individual parts.

Erwin Ringsgwandl was already on tour as a musician with various groups in the 1980s. In 1989 he and Alex Birkenmeier joined the folk music trio Daneb`n Musi, founded in 1987 by the two Reiter brothers Martin and Markus and Thomas Ringsgwandl, which, after Georg Christlmeier joined the group , acted as a sextet Alpensound the following year . The formation, which has undergone several line-up changes to this day, released several CDs and had several television appearances. Ringsgwandl wrote five tracks on the Alpensound album Es is Zeit , released by Tyrolis in 2005 . The Alpensound title Es is Zeit , which he composed , was also released in 2017 on a Funny Musicians double CD sampler (Tyrostar / Tyrolis) and his Stangei Polka , which was also composed for Alpensound, appeared on the double sampler Die Volkstümliche Polkaparty - 40 bärig played Polkas (Tyrostar / Tyrolis). In 2015 he wrote and composed the song Das Beste Bier ham mia for the Austrian Marc Pircher , which was released on Pircher's 2016 band album Live in Vienna , which was in the Austrian album charts for three weeks and reached number 26 there. He worked with Thomas Ringsgwandl on the composition.

Erwin Ringsgwandl also works as a photographer. A large number of his photos have already been used for photo illustrations. He also contributed 190 color images for the illustration of the book Das Theaterzelt of the Ringsgwandl family, written by Klaus Bovers in 2016 .
