Mara Lane
Mara Lane (actually Dorothy Bolton , born August 1, 1930 in Vienna ) is a former British - Austrian film actress .
Life
Mara Lane was born in Vienna. Her father was a British businessman and her mother was of Russian descent. She had a younger sister, Jocelyn Lane , who was also an actress. In the early 1950s, Mara Lane was a sought-after model in Great Britain and was soon discovered for film. In 1951 she made her first film appearance as a singer in Hell Is Sold Out . This was followed by minor roles in Treasure Hunt and Something Money Can't Buy (both 1952). Since 1956 she has been shooting mainly in Germany, where she mostly only got supporting roles.
In 1965 Mara Lane retired into private life. Today she lives in London.
