Marat Khaydarov (born July 19, 1990 ) is an Uzbek decathlete .

Athletic career

Marat Khaydarov gained his first international experience at the World Youth Championships 2007 in Ostrava , where he finished 21st with 5063 points. In 2009 he reached fifth place at the Asian Championships in Guangzhou with 6769 points and was eighth at the 2014 Asian Games in Incheon with 7073 points. In 2015 he finished fifth at the Asian Championships in Wuhan with 6159 points and won the bronze medal behind the Japanese Akihiko Nakamura and Hu Yufei from China at the 2016 Asian Indoor Championships in Doha with 5619 points . At the Asian Indoor & Martial Arts Games 2017 in Ashgabat , he also won the bronze medal behind Saudi Mohammed Jasem al-Qaree and Sutthisak Singkhon from Thailand with 5018 points in the indoor heptathlon . At the Asian Championships in Doha in 2019, he finished sixth with 6223 points.

In 2014 Khaydarov became Uzbek champion in the 110-meter hurdles and in 2016 the indoor champion in the 60-meter hurdles.
