Mohammed Jasem al-Qaree (born May 11, 1988 ) is a Saudi athlete who specializes in the decathlon .

Athletic career

Mohammed Jasem al-Qaree gained his first international experience at the 2004 Arab Youth Championships in Rabat , where he won the gold medal in the eightfold with 5700 points. The following year he took part in the Youth World Championships in Marrakech , but had to end his competition there prematurely. In 2006 he won the bronze medal in the decathlon at the Junior Asian Championships in Macau with 6564 points. In the next three years he won twice at the Arab Championships in Amman and Damascus and in 2009 also at the Indoor Asian Games in Hanoi with a new national record in the indoor heptathlon of 5791 points. In 2010 he took part in the Asian Games in Guangzhou for the first time, but could not deny all disciplines, as well as at the Asian Championships in Kobe the following year. In 2011 and 2015 he won more times at the Arab Championships and was eliminated from the competitions in 2013.

In 2016 he took part in the Asian Indoor Championships in Doha , where he finished fifth with 5579 points. The following year he won the Asian Indoor & Martial Arts Games in Ashgabat with 5343 points just ahead of the Thai Sutthisak Singkhon . In 2018 he again took part in the Asian Games in Jakarta and could not finish his competition.
