Marc-Eugène de Goulard

Marc-Eugène de Goulard (born November 28, 1808 in Versailles , † July 4, 1874 ibid) was a French politician .

De Goulard worked as a lawyer in Paris from 1830 , and was a member of the Senate from 1846 to 1848 .

In February 1871 he became a member of the National Assembly and then plenipotentiary for the peace negotiations in Frankfurt , and until 1872 French ambassador in Rome .

In February 1872 he became Minister of Commerce ( Ministre de l'agriculture et du commerce ) and in April Minister of Finance . On December 7, 1872 he was appointed Minister of the Interior and was dismissed on May 17, 1873 after the election of the radical republican Claude-Désiré Barodet in Paris.
