Marc Burch (born May 7, 1984 in Cincinnati , Ohio ) is an American football player . He currently plays for Minnesota United in Major League Soccer .
Career
youth
Burch played college soccer at the University of Evansville from 2002 to 2004 . During this time he scored seven goals and prepared 22 goals. In the summer months he played for the Cleveland Internationals in the USL Premier Development League . After the 2004 season, he went to the University of Maryland , where he played with the Maryland Terrapins. With them he also won the College Cup.

In 2006, Burch was drafted by Los Angeles Galaxy . On July 11, 2006, he moved from the Galaxies, where he was only on the field three times, to Columbus Crew .
From April 4, 2007 he played for DC United . He scored his first MLS goal on September 29, 2007 against Toronto FC . Burch stayed with DC United through the 2011 season . He played more than 90 league games for the capital club and won the MLS Supporters' Shield in 2007 and the Lamar Hunt US Open Cup in 2008 . His contract was not renewed after the 2011 season, and Burch was from the Seattle Sounders FC drafted . After two seasons with 49 league games, the Seattle Sounders decided against a contract extension. Burch took part again in the MLS draft for players without contract and was signed by the Colorado Rapids, for which he completed 22 league games by the end of the 2014 season .
