Marc Fitten

Marc Fitten (born May 23, 1974 in Brooklyn , New York City ) is an American author and publicist .

Life

Fitten, son of Panamanian immigrants, grew up in the Bronx . In 1993 he moved to Europe and lived in Hungary until 1998 . He then returned to the USA. Today he lives with his family in Atlanta .

Fitten has published in various American magazines, including the Prairie Schooner , The Louisville Review , the Hogtown Creek Review and Esquire . The Georgia State University awarded him the Paul Bowles Fellowship for Fiction . He is currently the editor of the Chattahoochee Review , Atlanta's oldest literary magazine . His first novel , Valeria's Last Stand , appeared simultaneously in the US, Great Britain and Germany in 2009. In 2012 his second novel, Elsa's Kitchen, was published . Both novels are set in Hungary.
