Marc Léon Joseph Bruno Gustave d'Isoard-Vauvenargue (usually Graf Isoard called * 6. October 1804 ; death announced on 16th December 1883 ) was a French count from the Gender d'Isoard-Vauvenargue .

Count Isoard completed 1822 Graduate from. He was honored as an officer by Pope Pius VIII for services at the conclave in 1829 . Several of the Count's poems have been preserved in archives for posterity.

Little is known about Count Isoard's life. He went down in chess history alongside his friend, Duke Karl II of Braunschweig, as an opponent of Paul Morphy in the "opera part" Morphy - Karl von Braunschweig and Count Isoard, Paris 1858 .

Count Isoard had no known descendants.

The authenticity of the Count could only be proven through research results published in 2014.
