Marc Seemann

Marc Seemann (born April 20, 1973 ) is a German football referee who belongs to the district 13 Essen North-West, which is part of the FVN .

Seemann has been DFB referee for DJK Adler Frintrop (Essen district) since 1999 and referee of the second Bundesliga and assistant in the first division since 2003. In 2006 he was appointed referee for the first Bundesliga by the DFB referee committee and until 2010 he headed 26 Bundesliga games. He made his debut in the game 1. FC Nürnberg against 1. FSV Mainz 05 on September 30, 2006. In the second Bundesliga, he has been referee of 41 games since 2003/04. He also headed 53 regional league games from 2001/02. He has been used six times in the DFB Cup since 2003/04.

He made his international debut in 2005 as an assistant in the UEFA Champions League with the game Shelbourne against Belfast as assistant to Peter Sippel .

Due to an injury and an operation, Seemann had to take a break from the 2009/10 season.

From the 2011/12 season Seemann was no longer to be used in the Bundesliga, but rather in the 2nd Bundesliga. After failing the required performance test due to an injury, he ended his work as a DFB referee and waived a possible repeat test.
