Marc Wiltberger (born May 8, 1969 in Strasbourg ) is a French handball coach and former handball player .
Career
The 1.93 m tall middle back player started playing handball in his hometown at the Racing Club de Strasbourg . In 1989 he moved to Girondins de Bordeaux HBC , with which he won the Coupe de France in 1990 . After four years he went to Montpellier AHB , with whom he became French champion in 1995 . In 1996 the German Bundesliga club SG Wallau / Massenheim signed him. With Wallau / Massenheim he reached the semifinals in the Euro City Cup 1997/98. In 1999 he joined Sélestat AHB . From 2001 to the end of his career in 2004 he played for Chambéry Savoie HB , with whom he won the league cup in 2002 and was runner-up in 2002 and 2003.
With the French national team Wiltberger won the bronze medal at the 1997 World Cup . He took part in the 2000 Olympic Games and finished sixth. Between 1991 and 2000 he played a total of 148 international matches .
In the 2014/15 season, Wiltberger worked as an assistant coach at the French first division club Pays d'Aix UC . When Zvonimir Serdarušić left the club at the end of the season, Wiltberger took over as coach. Wiltberger held this office until November 2015.
