Marcel Novick , full name Marcel Novick Rettich , (born October 11, 1983 in Montevideo ) is a Uruguayan football player .
Career

Marcel Novick, who is 1.68 meters tall according to the club and 1.71 meters according to other sources, is the grandson of basketball player and sports official Héctor Novick , son of sports official Edgardo Novick , who was a candidate for president at Club Atlético Peñarol in 2008 , brother of football player Hernán Novick and actress Victoria Novick. Bernardo, the eldest brother of the four siblings, is an economist with a Masters degree from Harvard University . At the beginning of his career, Marcel Novick was in ranks of Centro Atlético Fénix in 2005 . In 2006 a position at Rocha FC followed . From 2006 to 2008 he was a player with El Tanque Sisley . Also in 2008 he was a member of the Villa Española squad . In the 2009/10 season he ran in 22 games in the Primera División for the Rampla Juniors and scored one goal. In the 2010/11 and 2011/12 seasons there are 23 and 14 first division appearances for him, in which he scored no further goals. In January 2012 he joined the Club Atlético Peñarol. By the end of the season he was set up eight times (no goal) in the Primera División. He also had two Copa Libertadores matches with the "Aurinegros" that year. In the following season 2012/13 he contributed with 26 league appearances (no goal) to win the Uruguayan championship. In addition, the statistics show six more games (no goal) in the Copa Libertadores for him. In 2013/14 he was 17 times in the Primera División, three times in the Copa Libertadores and once in the Copa Sudamericana 2013 , each without a personal goal. In the 2014/15 season he was used seven times (no goal) in the top Uruguayan league. This was followed in the 2015/16 season, in which his team again won the national championship title, 13 further premier league appearances (one goal) and two (no goal) in the Copa Libertadores 2016 .
