Marcela Tiscornia

Marcela Tiscornia (born July 26, 1972 ) is a former Uruguayan athlete .

Career

Tiscornia was active in the running competitions on the sprint courses. She took part with the Uruguayan team in the 1990 South American Games in Peru . There she won the gold medal with the 4 x 100 meter relay . She was also a member of the squad at the 1994 South American Games in Valencia, Venezuela . In 1995 she took part in both the World Indoor Championships and the World Championships , but was eliminated in the preliminary runs.

Tiscornia is still today (as of June 15, 2015) the co-owner of the Uruguayan national record of the 4 x 100 meter relay . On this she worked as a member of the national relay on July 16, 1992 at the Ibero-American Championships in Seville, which required a time of 46.51 seconds for the distance.
