There she played in plays by renowned playwrights such as Robert de Flers , Oscar Méténier , Alfred Capus , Léon Gandillot and Ernest Blum .

She was extremely famous at the time. Illustrated stage scenes by caricaturists Edward Ancourt and Yves Marevéry, with her as the main protagonist , appeared regularly in the press . Her appearances were regularly announced in many newspapers and journals. The press in the colony of Algeria also reported on their appearances. Like other artists, Toulouse-Lautrec was enthusiastic about her and painted her several times. The best known picture shows Lenders with flame red hair, dancing bolero in the play Chilperic . The painter Gabriel Martin dedicated the poem Les Hanches to her . and the actor Frédérick Lemaître admired them so much that he put together an extensive collection of newspaper clippings, postcards and even individual book pages. Finally, she also acted as a mannequin for fashion magazines.

She always played one of the leading roles in twenty-six productions. She gave her last stage performance in 1917. Lender died at the age of 64 as a result of a cerebral haemorrhage.
