The Marchegghof is a farm in Schnals in Vinschgau in South Tyrol (Italy). The building ensemble is a listed building .

location

The farm belongs to the Our Lady fraction in Schnals in Schnalstal . It is located at an altitude of 1810 m slm about two kilometers from the village of Kurzras . From the Schnalser Landesstraße (Strada Provinciale Val Senales) to the west, a cul-de-sac leads to the courtyard. The Marchegg climbing garden is located above the courtyard on a slate wall .

The listed buildings are a residential building, a farm building and a wooden post store . In the house the room with boxes paneling fitted to the 19th century. A bedroom is decorated with a tape under the ceiling. The post store is a building with nine round posts from the late 16th century. It is provided with a ring high arbor. The building complex was placed under protection in 1981.

The farm has been in the family for around 200 years and is one of the South Tyrolean hereditary estates . The family runs agrotourism with “Farm Holidays” and keeps Tyrolean mountain sheep , pigs , goats , cows and poultry . The former granary shows a small collection of farm tools. The owner family also runs a farm tavern .

In the winter of 2012/2013 the novel Das sinstere Tal was filmed in the courtyard , and in 2015 some scenes for the second episode of Kripo Bozen followed .
