Marcio Borges
Marcio Borges (* 20th January 1973 in Rio de Janeiro as Marcio dos Santos Borges ) is a former Brazilian football player .
In the 1996/97 season he moved from the Brazilian club Botafogo FR to the Swiss Super League for FC Luzern . Just one season later he joined SV Waldhof Mannheim , from where he was transferred to Arminia Bielefeld in the 1999/2000 season .
This made the central defender one of the longest serving armines . He last had a contract until 2008 , which was valid for both the 1st and 2nd Bundesliga. However, this contract was terminated in September 2007 because it no longer played a role in the sporting plans and he also wanted to return to Brazil. He ended his career.
Marcio Borges is married and has three children.
