Marco Ferrante (born February 4, 1971 in Velletri ) is a former Italian football player . He was best known for his numerous club changes and his many goals for Torino Calcio .

Career

Born in Velletri , a city in the province of Rome , Ferrante began his career in 1988 with SSC Napoli . In two years he completed only one league assignment there. In his following positions at AC Reggiana and AC Pisa , he became an important part of the team. In 1992 he returned to Naples and this time remained largely unsuccessful. After only six months, he signed a contract with AC Parma in January 1993 . After eleven goalless games for Ferrante in Serie A , he left the club again and moved to Piacenza Calcio . The striker also failed to live up to expectations in Piacenza and only scored four goals this season. In the summer of 1995 he found a new employer at Salernitana Sport .

In the 1995/96 season he scored six goals for Salernitana and was sold to Turin FC . Initially viewed by Turin as a cheap alternative, the striker, to the club's surprise, made an excellent hit and scored many goals in the following years. In the 1998/99 season he scored a total of 27 goals in the second-rate Serie B , making a large contribution to the rise of Turin to Serie A. In 2001 he surprisingly moved to Inter Milan . The attacker could never prevail in Milan. After six months at Inter, in which he had played 11 league games and scored one goal, he returned to Turin. Ferrante succeeded in proving his qualities again in Turin and again with important goals to become one of the best goal scorers in the club's history. In a total of 233 league games for Turin FC, he scored 114 goals.

In the summer of 2004 he moved to Catania Calcio , for which he scored five goals. After a few months he returned to the top division with the commitment at FC Bologna . At the Emilian club, he got six missions and remained without a goal. In the 2005/06 season followed with the transfer to Ascoli Calcio, his last move within Serie A. With his eight goals for Ascoli, he had a share of 10th place in that season. In the 2006/07 season he ended his long career with the second division clubs Pescara Calcio and Hellas Verona .
