Marco Grassi (born August 8, 1968 in Chiasso ) is a former Swiss football player .

Brief overview

The striker played for FC Zurich , Stade Rennes and Olympique Lyon , among others . He was also a Swiss national player between 1993 and 1998 , but only scored three goals in 31 games. He was in the squad for the 1994 World Cup in the USA (1 game) and for the 1996 European Football Championship in England (2 games). He ended his career with OGC Nice in 2000 and has been president of his youth club FC Chiasso since 2006 .
