Marco Hinz

Marco Hinz (born February 20, 1974 in Neubrandenburg ) is a former German soccer player .

The defender moved in 1995 from FC Neubrandenburg to the amateurs of Hansa Rostock . Hinz was in the professional squad several times and made his only Bundesliga appearance on October 4, 1996 in the away game against Bayer 04 Leverkusen. He came on in the 53rd minute for the central defender Heiko März , who had an ankle injury , and the game ended 4-1 for Leverkusen. 1998 Hinz left Hansa Rostock again and joined TSV Pansdorf . He played for the team in the Oberliga Hamburg / Schleswig-Holstein for two years . In the 1998/99 season they failed in the promotion games to the Regionalliga Nord at FC Bremerhaven . A season later they finished 6th in the final table, but the club withdrew its team and from then on played in the district league.

Hinz then moved to the upper league club TSV Altenholz , which specified promotion to the regional league as a season goal. This goal was clearly missed and Hinz left the club after only one year and switched to Eichholzer SV for the 2001/02 season , which at that time also played in the Hamburg / Schleswig-Holstein Oberliga. After a 10th place in the final table, the club withdrew its team from the league and Hinz had to change clubs again because of its weak average attendance of just under 200 spectators per game, which was particularly unattractive for the sponsors. For the next three years he played for the NTSV Strand 08 association league and then ended his playing career.

For the 2005/06 season, Hinz took on an assistant coaching position at the district top division club TSV Bordesholm . In the following season he supervised the club as head coach, but missed promotion to the association league as runner-up and was replaced.

Since 2017 he has been the sporting director of the Kiel upper division club TSV Schilksee .
