Marco Sprinz (born April 18, 1970 in Haltern ) is a German actor .

Life

Marco Sprinz gained his first stage experience as an actor at the age of 19 at the Joseph-König-Gymnasium Haltern am See . Even then, the desire grew in him to turn his hobby into a profession. First he completed a teaching degree in Münster from 1990 to 1996. From 1993 to 1998 he devoted himself to his second passion, singing, and was a singer and lyricist in the progressive rock band The Tale . With The Tale he made studio recordings and numerous live performances. The band was characterized by complex, demanding musical arrangements. The pieces, up to 10 minutes long, were sound collages with a partly gloomy, psychedelic atmosphere, to which Marco Sprinz contributed his metaphysical texts.

In 1996 Marco Sprinz finally continued his acting experience and played in seven productions of the independent theater scene in Münster until mid-1997, mainly in the Placebo Theater . At the beginning of 1998 Sprinz moved to Cologne to complete a three-year training course as an actor at the Center for Movement, Drama and Dance . Since 2001 he has played in the independent theater scene in Cologne a. a. for the DaS-Theater, the Roma-Theater Pralipe, the Arkadas-Theater and for the provocative Cologne theater and performance group Analog in its first production L&L /// Wasted Time /// Leonce und Lena .

From 2004 to 2012 Marco Sprinz played the role of the chef Richie in the daily soap Unter Uns . Marco Sprinz played the role of the lover in Jörg Stehler's short film Nachtaktiv , which won first prize at the Goldene Klappe (festival in Hessen). In October 2005 he played the play Schnitzler - Unter uns at the Cologne theater together with ten other actors from Unter Uns .

From 2001 to 2011 Marco Sprinz was on stage in the play Wilder Panther, Keks , in which he plays a teenage drug addict who is practically standing at the gate of heaven. Three angels decide whether he can return to life or not. Wilder Panther, Keks is a production of the DaS-Theater Köln and was invited in 2006 for the Cologne Theater Prize and the NRW Children's and Youth Theater Meeting.

From 2003 to 2011 he played, also at the DaS-Theater, in the youth theater play Friends of the youth Benni, a victim of bullying who evades harassment and first becomes a follower, then a perpetrator. Since September 2008 Marco Sprinz has been playing again in the Free Workshop Theater in Cologne in the production Das Rüten der whole Welt . The rage of the whole world is an adaptation of the novel directed by Johannes Kaetzler and was awarded the Cologne Theater Prize in 2008.

From 2012 to 2016 Sprinz completed training as a vocal coach at the Stimmig Sein Institute and worked as an online journalist for Zoomin.TV in Amsterdam and Düsseldorf. On the side, he continued to write songs, work on a script on the subject of freedom, and on a road novel called American Tales, based on real experiences from 2009.

Marco Sprinz has been an actor for the Mein Schiff fleet since 2016. He processed the experiences of his world trips on postcards, which he used like a kind of diary. Based on this, he also developed a stage show in which he read his postcards aloud and commented on with suitable songs and also illustrated his own travel photos. Based on this idea, Sprinz then created a YouTube channel entitled The Travels of Marco Paul, where he converted current postcards into short videos.
