Marco Swibenko

Marco Swibenko (born June 2, 1971 in Bad Saarow-Pieskow ) is a former German ice hockey player .

Swibenko began ice hockey in 1977 at SC Dynamo Berlin , the forerunner of the EHC Eisbären Berlin . Marco Swibenko completed the classic career in competitive GDR sport, with talent promotion and admission to the sports school KJS (children's and youth sports school) Heinrich Rau Berlin. In 1990 he received his first contract with the professional team of the Berlin polar bears and ended his career in 1998 after guest appearances in the USA, Great Britain and France due to injury at the then second division Adendorfer EC . Marco Swibenko looked after the juniors and men of the Adendorfer EC as a trainer and as assistant trainer the student selection of the U-15s in Lower Saxony.

1991 Swibenko was German junior champion. He completed 189 DEL games and 46 second division games.

Until November 2008 Marco Swibenko trained together with the mental trainer Colonel a. D. Theodor Bross the Salt City Boars Lüneburg ( inline skater hockey 1st League North), which he led to promotion to the 1st Bundesliga for the 2009 season.
