Marco Zorec (born September 12, 1990 in Villach ) is an Austrian ice hockey defender who has been playing for EHC Lustenau in the newly founded Inter-National League since 2012 .

Career

Marco Zorec played in Villach from the start, where he was able to work his way up to the first team of the EC VSV .

In the 14th round of the 2009/10 season , Zorec scored his first EBEL goal in the away game against the EC Graz 99ers . In the same season he took with the Austrian National Team at the World Youth Championship Under-20 in 2010 in part. Zorec was never really able to use his potential during the entire tournament and was only noticed by frequent penalties. With 43 penalty minutes in six games, he finally took first place in these statistics.

In total, he made 65 appearances in the top division, with one goal. With the VSV U20 team, Zorec was able to win two championship titles. For the 2011/12 season he will move to VEU Feldkirch in the national league, currently he is under contract with EHC Lustenau.
