Marcus Franz (born December 22, 1972 in Vienna ) is an Austrian politician ( SPÖ ) and since September 27, 2017 district chairman of the 10th  Viennese district of Favoriten .

Life

Franz attended elementary school in Selma-Lagerlöf Gasse and then the Bundesgymnasium and Bundesrealgymnasium Pichelmayergasse , also in Vienna-Favoriten. After that, Marcus Franz completed an apprenticeship as a wholesale merchant at Spiral-Reihs & Co. by 1995. He also attended the vocational school for wholesale.

Political career

Marcus Franz became a member of the SPÖ in 1995 and from then on worked as a treasurer in Section 33. In 2001 he was appointed Section Chairman of Sections 31, 33 and 38, and from 2001 to 2017 he was District Councilor in Vienna-Favoriten. In 2009 he took over the agendas as district manager of the SPÖ Favoriten. From 2013 to 2017 he was both club chairman and chairman of the culture commission in the district parliament. He has been the district chairman of Favoriten since September 27, 2017 .

Private

Marcus Franz is single and has a son.
