Marcus Neuert

Marcus Neuert (born January 22, 1963 in Frankfurt am Main ) is a German poet , writer and musician .

Life

Marcus Neuert grew up as the son of a journalist and musicologist and the painter and graphic artist Gi Neuert in Offenbach am Main and Stuttgart. From 1977 he played the guitar, from 1979 he wrote his first poems and short stories, from 1980 his first attempts at travel journalism. After graduating from the Geschwister-Scholl-Gymnasium Stuttgart-Sillenbuch in 1982 , he completed an apprenticeship as a travel agent . In addition to his gainful employment in the travel industry, he played in various formations in the jazz , rock and world music scene in Baden-Württemberg as a guitarist and bassist . From 2001 he turned increasingly to literature ; Readings and interdisciplinary projects with musicians and visual artists followed.

Since then, Marcus Neuert has had numerous publications in anthologies , literary magazines and on the Internet, as well as several individual publications; Neuert also writes reviews, especially for literary Internet portals. At the end of 2010 he moved to Minden . Since 2013 he has been a member of the European authors' association, Die Kogge e. V., member of the executive committee since 2015 and vice-president of KOGGE since 2018. He has been working as a freelance writer since 2016 and is studying cultural sciences at the Distance University in Hagen .
