Marek Bárta (born December 8, 1992 ) is a Czech athlete who specializes in discus throwing.

Sports career

Marek Bárta gained his first experience at international championships in 2009 when he was eliminated from the qualification at the youth world championships in Brixen with the 1.5 kg discus with a width of 55.16 m. He then won the silver medal at the European Youth Olympic Festival (EYOF) in Tampere with 60.49 m and failed in the shot put with 16.15 m in the preliminary round. In 2011 he finished fifth at the Junior European Championships in Tallinn with 60.79 m and in 2013 he reached twelfth place at the U23 European Championships in Tampere with 54.01 m.

In 2019 and 2020 Bárta was the Czech champion in discus throw.
