Marek Galiński (cyclist)
Marek Galiński (born August 1, 1974 in Opoczno ; † March 17, 2014 in Kielce ) was a Polish cyclocross , mountain bike and road cyclist.
Career
Marek Galiński was Polish champion in cyclocross in the U-23 class in 1996. In 1998 he took third place in the elite class. In 2002 he became a professional with the Polish road cycling team CCC-Polsat . In 2004 he became the Polish Cross Country Champion on mountain bike. He defended that title the following year and won it again in 2008. At the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing , he finished 13th in cross country.
Galiński died on March 17, 2014 as a result of a car accident.
