Marek Jan Chodakiewicz
Marek Jan Chodakiewicz (* 1962 in Warsaw ) is an American historian of Polish descent and author of several books with a focus on the history of Central and Eastern Europe in the 19th and 20th centuries, Jewish-Polish relations, and LGBT . Chodakiewicz is also a far-right activist.
Life
In 1988 Chodakiewicz graduated from San Francisco State University . In 2001 he received his doctorate from Columbia University , in 2003 he became a history professor at the Institute of World Politics in Washington, DC In April 2005, President George W. Bush appointed him to the United States Holocaust Memorial Council . In 2009, the Southern Poverty Law Center criticized the appointment of a person with such unusual views to the USHMM.
In 2019, he caused controversy with writing and speaking about LGBT . Also in 2019, he was embroiled in a financial scandal.
Chodakiewicz lives in the United States.
