Margaret Wirth

Margaret Wirth (born March 16, 1943 in Oxford , Great Britain ) is a German political and economic scientist .

Wirth studied political science, history and economics in Munich and Berlin . From 1973 until her retirement in 2006 she was Professor of Political Science at the University of Bremen . Her main areas of work are economic policy, the relationship between the state and the economy and Marxism . She is part of the editorial team of GegenStandpunkt magazine .
