Margarete Fischer-Bosch (born August 2, 1888 in Stuttgart ; † January 19, 1972 there ) was a German politician ( FDP ).

Life, job

As the daughter of the industrialist Robert Bosch , the founder of Robert Bosch GmbH , and his wife Anna Bosch geb. Kayser grew up Margarete in Stuttgart at Rotebühlstrasse 145. The immediate neighbor at the time was Clara Zetkin . When a labor dispute broke out at Bosch in 1913, Margarete Bosch and her younger sister Paula took a stand against their father, even though Robert Bosch was known for his progressive attitude.

In Tübingen she studied political science and graduated in 1920 with a dissertation that dealt historically with the economic conditions of class society.

Together with her sister Paula Zundel, Margarete Fischer-Bosch made it possible through a generous donation that the Kunsthalle Tübingen could and can be built and equipped with exhibitions that were internationally recognized.

Margarete Fischer-Bosch died on January 19, 1972 at the age of 83 in Stuttgart. She found her final resting place together with her mother Anna Bosch (1864–1949), her brother Robert (1891–1921), her sister Paula (1889–1974) and her brother-in-law Friedrich Zundel (1875–1948) in the family grave of the Zundel family the city ​​cemetery in Tübingen.

After the Second World War , Margarete Bosch joined the DVP , which later became the state association of the FDP in Baden-Württemberg . On May 25, 1950, she moved to the state parliament of Württemberg-Hohenzollern and was the only woman there next to Gertrud Metzger . In the state parliament she belonged to the economic and social committee and the special committee for the land reform law until the end of Württemberg-Hohenzollern in 1952. In 1955/56 she was deputy chairwoman of the Federal Committee for Social Policy of the FDP. From 1969 to 1970 she was a member of the Advisory Board of the Friedrich Naumann Foundation .

Honors

The Dr. Margarete Fischer Bosch Institute for Clinical Pharmacology (IKP) at the Robert Bosch Hospital in Stuttgart is named after her. The establishment of this institute was made possible by a donation from Margarete Fischer-Bosch.
