Margarete (Grete) Pix (born March 2, 1862 in Weimar ; † December 28, 1944 in Uetersen ) was a German actress and theater teacher .
Act
The court actress Margarete Pix played at various large German theaters, such as the German National Theater Weimar , and was engaged at the Grand Ducal Court Theater and the Badisches Landestheater in the capital and residence city of Karlsruhe from 1905 to 1923 . From 1935 to 1938 she was a teacher at the Karlsruhe Theater Academy . She also worked as a theater teacher. She later retired from acting and died in 1944. Her grave is in the Cäcilie Bleeker Park in Uetersen.
The then Austrian esotericist and philosopher Rudolf Steiner wrote about her after an evening of lecture: As a real lecture artist, we met Ms. Margarete Pix on November 1st, 1898. Your whole way is sympathetic. This became particularly clear to me when I was reading the poem "Anna" by Julius Hart and some of the poems by ME delle Grazie, which is unfortunately so little known in northern Germany . I also enjoyed hearing some of Theodor Fontane's rendition by Frau Pix. I would like to describe the evening as a success ... Ms. Pix has a great talent for lecturing .
