Margit Bach

Margit Bach (born March 25, 1951 in Frankfurt-Höchst ) is a former German hurdler who specialized in the 100-meter distance .

At the European Athletics Championships in 1971 , she was eliminated in the semifinals .

In 1972 she was at the European Athletics Indoor Championships in Grenoble over 50 m hurdles fifth and reached the semi-finals at the Olympic Games in Munich .

In 1970 and 1971 she was German champion , in 1969 and 1972 German runner-up. In the hall she became German champion over 60 m hurdles in 1972 and vice-champion over 50 m hurdles in 1971.

Margit Bach started for OSC Höchst and SV Bayer 04 Leverkusen .

Photographer and journalist

After her sporting career, she studied graphics at the Offenbach University of Design after a brief activity as a music and sports teacher. From 1975 Margit Bach worked for the Höchster Kreisblatt and the Frankfurter Neue Presse , initially as a photographer. She also started writing texts in the mid-1980s.

Margit Bach has been working for Weilburger Tageblatt (WT) since 1989 . Since 1996 she has also been the editor in charge of the WT supplement “Weilburg Live”, which, like the Weilburger Tageblatt, is published by the Wetzlardruck publishing house . Margit Bach lives on a farm in Weinbach-Elkerhausen .
