Margot Busses

Margot Busse (born September 1, 1944 in Zeppernick - Wendgräben ) is a German actress.

Life

Half a year after her birth, her father was killed as a firefighter in one of the last bomb attacks on Magdeburg. As the youngest, she grew up fatherless with three sisters and their mother. After completing secondary school, she began an apprenticeship as a library technician, which she broke off when she began her training as an actress at the "Hans Otto" theater school in Leipzig at the age of 17

She made her film debut as a student, when director Frank Beyer cast her in the role of the girl Karin in the film Karbid und Sauerampfer . In the third and fourth year of training, she played several major roles at the municipal theaters in Karl-Marx-Stadt. including the Eliza in Shaw's Pygmalion and the Sima in Unterwegs von Rosow. After completing his acting studies in 1966, he had permanent engagements for several years at the municipal theaters in Karl-Marx-Stadt, the state theaters of Saxony, the stages of the city of Gera and guest engagements at the Volksbühne Berlin . Important roles in this period were the Polly in The Threepenny Opera , which Franziska in Minna von Barnhelm, the Rachela in the strange journey of Alois little fingers, Shakespeare's Juliet, the Käthe in Lonely people of Gerhart Hauptmann, the Negina in Talents and Admirers of Ostrowski, Lessing's Emilia Galotti  to name just a few. Ensemble guest performances have taken her to Bulgaria, Romania and the Federal Republic. At the same time, she was often employed in film and television in the early 1970s.

She has lived in Berlin since 1979, and engagements in film and television productions have moved more into the focus of her activities. In addition to tasks for dubbing and radio drama, she presented the magazine show Treffpunkt Kino on GDR television from 1985 to 1987 .

After 1989 she devoted herself mainly to performing games with children and young people in youth facilities .

Margot Busse is married to the director and acting teacher Rüdiger Volkmer, they have a daughter.
