Margret Heinemann
Margret Heinemann (born May 29, 1883 in Kassel ; † March 13, 1968 in Kassel) was a German classical archaeologist and high school teacher .
Her father was the physician Theodor Heinemann. She studied Classical Philology , Classical Archeology and History at the Universities of Munich , Berlin and Bonn . On January 20, 1910, she was in Bonn at Georg Loeschcke working Scenic elements in Greek art to Polygnotus doctorate . Heinemann was one of only five women who received a doctorate in classical archeology before the First World War (alongside her Margarete Bieber , Elvira Fölzer , Charlotte Fränkel , Viktoria von Lieres and Wilkau ). In addition, she passed the examination for the higher teaching degree and worked as a high school teacher. From the estate of Gerhard Loeschcke , the son of her academic teacher who died early, Heinemann published the Church History of Gelasios von Kyzikos , which was only replaced by a new edition in 2002.
