Marguerite Achard

Marguerite Eugénie Rosalie Achard Prothin (born March 26, 1874 in Paris , † March 1, 1963 in Montereau-Fault-Yonne ) was a French harpist, music teacher and composer.

Life

Marguerite Achard studied harp at the Conservatoire de Paris with Alphonse Hasselmans and in 1892 received first prize in the harp. In December 1892 she was the soloist in a concert of the Société-Sainte Cécile in Poitiers . On April 29, 1897 she played at a church concert in the Saint-Godard church in Rouen Priére von Hasselmans. From mid-1898 she taught a harp class at the Conservatoire de Versailles . On May 9, 1905, she gave a prelude to 13 of her harp students in the Salle de l'Athénée-Saint-Germain , presided over by Alphonse Hasselmans. On May 23, 1905 Marguerite Achard gave a concert in the Salle Erard, her brother Pierre Achard, who recited poetry, and some of her harp students also worked with them. On June 1, 1907, she gave a concert in the Salle Fémina . On January 25 In 1908 she was in the Salle Erard , a concert in which they also have their own composition d'orient Impression aufführte . In 1908 Marguerite Achard was the soloist at the third Société symphonique concert in La Rochelle . She gave private harp lessons in Paris.
