Sculpture of Saint Mary in Larchant

The sculpture of Mary in the Basilica of St-Mathurin in Larchant , a French commune in the Seine-et-Marne department of the Île-de-France region , was created in the first quarter of the 17th century.

In 1938, the sculpture of Mary was added to the list of architectural monuments in France as a Monument historique .

The approximately 1.90 meter high wooden sculpture originally belonged to a Calvaire , just like the sculpture of the Apostle John in the church .
