Landgravine Maria Eva Sophia von Hessen-Rotenburg (born October 28, 1722 in London , † December 12, 1773 in Strasbourg ), née Countess von Starhemberg .

She is the daughter of Konrad Sigismund Graf von Starhemberg (1689–1727) and Maria Leopoldine zu Löwenstein-Wertheim-Rochefort (1689–1763), daughter of Maximilian Karl von Löwenstein-Wertheim-Rochefort . In her first marriage, Sophia von Starhemberg was married to the Prince of Orange , Willem Hyazinth von Nassau-Siegen (1666–1743), but they did not have any children. After his death in 1743, she married Ernst Konstantin , Landgrave of Hesse-Rotenburg , for a second time in 1745 . From this connection come five sons and six daughters:
