Maria Loboda

Maria Loboda (* 1979 in Cracow ) is a Polish installation artist .

life and work

Maria Loboda studied from 2003 to 2008 with Mark Leckey at the State University of Fine Arts - Städelschule in Frankfurt am Main . She works with references to literature, music and art, mysticism and popular belief . Loboda works with deceptions as well as encrypted messages and meanings. Her sculptures, installations and collages, which at first appear pleasing, are often in deliberate contrast to their form of presentation. Her artistic strategy corresponds to the principle of collage.
