Maria Mosbacher

Maria Mosbacher (born April 1, 1953 in Ratten , Styria ) is an Austrian politician ( SPÖ ).

Life

After attending primary and secondary school , Maria Mosbacher attended a technical college for women in business. In 1970 she found a job as a work planner at Voestalpine in Kindberg . She was also a union member and was elected to the works council in 1991 . In 2000, he was elected to the regional committee of the Union of Private Employees (GPA) Styria.

She held her first political mandate from 1995 when she moved into the Kindberg municipal council for the SPÖ . In 2005 she became the women's chairwoman of the Social Democrats in the then existing Mürzzuschlag district .

In October of the same year - 2005 - Mosbacher was sworn in in Vienna as a member of the Federal Council, to which she was to belong for five years until October 2010.
