Maria Sanders (born May 15, 1984 in Strausberg ) is a German journalist and writer .

Life

Maria Sanders was born in Strausberg and grew up in Hohenlohe ( Baden-Württemberg ). After graduating from school, she worked in several professions before completing her technical college entrance qualification in her mid-twenties . At the age of 27, Sanders studied communication , media management and philosophy at Heilbronn University with a successful degree. Before her studies she worked as a freelance journalist and later worked on numerous contributions for the TV station ProSiebenSat.1 and the ARD foreign studio in New York .

As an author, she received her first recognition in 2016. With her short story In Every Moment she won first place in the Aschauer Authors' Prize , which was published in the Kampenwand anthology . Tilda , another short story, was published in the anthology Lights in Advent in 2018 .

Maria Sanders lives in Heilbronn .
