Maria Silvia Herrera (born September 15, 1983 in Buenos Aires ) is an Argentine biathlete .

Silvia Herrera lives in San Carlos de Bariloche and trains in Buenos Aires. The married soldier starts for Club de Montaña Cazadores de los Andes and is trained by Carlos Gaston Fanti. Between 2004 and 2006 she competed internationally in the European Biathlon Cup . In her first race, an individual in Obertilliach , she did not finish. It wasn't until a week later that she was able to finish a race for the first time in the same place as the 35th of a sprint. In the further course of the season Herrera won points for the first time as the 26th of a sprint in Garmisch-Partenkirchen . It is also her best result in the racing series. She started in August 2010 at the Biathlon South American Championships in Portillo and Bariloche . In the championship, which was held as a racing series, Herrera was second in the individual behind Claudia Salcedo and ahead of Mirlene Picin and third behind Picin and Salcedo in the sprint and mass start races. In the sprint race in Bariloche, she won ahead of Picin and Cristina Noemi Mair . In the overall standings, which included only three races, she finished third behind Salcedo and Picin.
