Maria Theresia Isabella von Blumenthal

Maria Theresia Isabella von Blumenthal (born November 15, 1712 in Namur , † April 25, 1782 in Berlin ), née Countess d'Harscamp, was a well-known philanthropist and chief stewardess of Wilhelmine of Prussia .

She came from the d'Harscamp family from Brabant . Her parents were Franz Karl d'Harscamp († 1735) and his wife Maria Isabella von Argenteau. She was married to Major Heinrich Georg von Blumenthal (* 1716; † 1756), son of the privy councilor Adam Ludwig von Blumenthal . This fell in a battle near Ostritz. The couple had three sons, all of whom died early. After the death of her husband, she became the chief steward of Princess Wilhelmine , wife of Prince Heinrich . She was a friendly lady, very popular, and made large donations to help build St. Hedwig's Catholic Church .

In her honor, a plaque with a medallion with the bust of the deceased in marble with an inscription was set up in St. Hedwig's Church. The plaque was destroyed in a bombing raid in 1943.

Heir was her sister-in-law Maria Isabella d'Harskamp .
