Maria of Austria (born June 16, 1584 in Innsbruck ; † March 2, 1649 ibid) was an archduchess from the House of Habsburg .

Maria was a daughter of the Austrian Archduke Ferdinand II and his second wife Anna Caterina von Gonzaga , a daughter of the Duke of Mantua, Guglielmo Gonzaga , and his wife Eleonore . She remained single and from the age of 28 devoted herself exclusively to a spiritual life by entering the Servite convent in Innsbruck with her widowed mother in 1614. There she became a nun as Anna Katharina and remained so after her mother died in 1621. She was buried in this monastery after her death in 1649 at the age of 64.
